Peptide Marketing When Half the Channels Are Closed to You

Meta, Google, and TikTok all restrict advertising in this category, and enforcement is inconsistent enough that building a business on it is a bad bet. The operators who grow steadily do it on channels they own. This page covers what actually works, in what order, and the claims line that has to hold across all of it.

Start from the channel reality, not from a channel plan

Every major ad platform has policies that restrict or prohibit advertising for this category, and the practical experience operators report is worse than the written policy: accounts approved one month and disabled the next, with limited recourse and no portability of the audience you built. Some operators do run paid successfully, usually on carefully worded brand-level campaigns. Almost none of them treat it as their foundation.

The honest strategic conclusion is that paid acquisition is, at best, an accelerant on top of something that works without it. If your plan requires ads to be viable, the plan has a single point of failure controlled by a company that has no obligation to you.

So the sequence we recommend inverts the usual startup playbook. Build the owned channels first — search, content, email, referral — accept that they take ninety days to show anything, and treat paid as an experiment funded by revenue rather than a launch requirement.

The four channels that hold up

Search and content

The highest-leverage channel here, because the buyer is actively looking and no platform can switch you off. It compounds: a page that ranks keeps working. It is also slow — expect three to six months before meaningful traffic, which is exactly why starting late is so expensive.

Email

The only audience you actually own. Everything else is rented. A list built from your site, your existing clients, and your content is portable, unrestricted, and the highest-converting channel most operators have. Build the capture mechanism on day one even if you have nothing to send yet.

Referral and partnership

In a trust-sensitive category, a recommendation from a practitioner, a supplier, or an existing client outperforms any advertisement. This is under-built by most operators because it is not automatable. Make it a named person's job.

Direct and relationship sales

For B2B models — distribution, wholesale, white-label — this is usually the entire go-to-market. The website's job is to make the operator look credible enough that the meeting happens, not to close the deal.

The first ninety days

This is the sequence we run for a Growth Partner client, and it works without any ad spend.

  1. Days 1–14 — Foundation

Site live. Analytics and Search Console verified. Lead capture and follow-up wired and tested end to end. A lead magnet published. Existing contacts imported. Nothing here is glamorous and all of it blocks everything after it.

  2. Days 15–30 — Content foundation

The ten highest-intent pages published: what you do, what it costs, how it works, and the specific questions your buyer types into a search box. Commercial intent first — informational content comes later and matters less at this stage.

  3. Days 31–60 — Distribution

Every published page distributed to your existing list and network. Partner and referral conversations opened deliberately, with a named owner and a follow-up cadence. Direct outreach to a list of named targets, not a bought list.

  4. Days 61–90 — Measure and double down

By now you have real data: which pages get traffic, which forms convert, which conversations progress. Kill what did not work, expand what did. This is also the earliest point where a paid experiment makes sense, funded by what the first sixty days produced.

The claims line runs through every channel

Marketing is where claims problems actually originate. A careful website paired with an uncareful email sequence or an uncareful social post is not a careful business — and the email and the post are what get screenshotted.

We hold one line across everything we write for you: describe the business, the process, the structure, and the people. Do not describe outcomes, effects, or comparisons to prescription products. It is a narrower lane than most marketers are used to, and the work is making it persuasive anyway — which is a craft problem, not a compliance problem, once you accept the constraint.

Applies to every channel

  • No outcome, effect, or result claims
  • No comparisons or implied equivalence to prescription products
  • No before-and-after imagery anywhere
  • No invented testimonials or reviews
  • No income, revenue, or earnings claims to prospective operators
  • No urgency mechanics that manufacture false scarcity
  • Every claim traceable to something you can show an advisor

No ad management and no ad spend at either tier. If you want paid managed, we will refer you to a specialist rather than pretend it is our discipline.

What we will not promise you

We do not guarantee rankings, traffic volumes, lead counts, conversion rates, or revenue. Nobody credible does, and in this category the volatility is higher than most — algorithm changes and category-level policy shifts can move results in ways nobody controls.

What we do commit to is the work: the specific number of pages, the specific optimizations, the specific reporting, delivered on a schedule, with the reasoning shown. You will always be able to see what was done and why. If it is not working after three months, we would rather have that conversation directly than roll a retainer forward on inertia.

Marketing works better when the site is built for it

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I run ads for a peptide business?

The major platforms restrict or prohibit this category, and enforcement varies. Some operators run brand-level campaigns successfully. We do not manage paid advertising and we would not advise building a growth plan that depends on it.

How long before marketing produces leads?

Owned-channel marketing typically shows meaningful traffic at three to six months and compounds after that. Referral, partnership, and direct outreach can produce conversations in the first month, which is why we run them in parallel rather than sequentially.

Do you guarantee results?

No. We guarantee the work — a specific number of pages, optimizations, and reports on a schedule. We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue, and we would treat any agency that does as a warning sign.

Do you write the content or just plan it?

We write it. Research, drafting, editing, internal linking, and schema markup. You review and approve before anything publishes.

Can you market a business you did not build?

Yes, after a technical and content audit. If the existing site has structural problems that would cap the results, we will say so and quote the fixes separately rather than spending your retainer working around them.

What is the minimum commitment?

Three months, then month to month. Three months is the shortest window where the work has any chance of showing signal, so a shorter commitment would be selling you something we know cannot work.

Build the owned channels before you need them.

They take ninety days to start working, which means the best time to start was three months ago.
